Have you seen this post? R' Harry Maryles calls for residents of NY to boycott some famous rebbes from Israel. I guess he figures the Haredim have been giving the MO bad press lately, what with all the Mea Shearim stonings and other insanity leaking out from that part of the globe. So perhaps it's time to stop enabling them, and stop funding them. What he's forgetting is this has been going on for years. Whether or not they're making it into the media, they've been living the exact same way for the last few hundred years, with virtually no changes. So either you're admitting you've turned a blind eye until now, in which case you're spineless, or you were unaware, in which case you're a nitwit.
Anyway, according to Garnel, these rabbis are perfectly innocent anyway. THEY'VE HAD THEIR SIGNATURE STAMPS STOLEN YEARS AGO!!! That explains it!
But hey, if you want to be responsible for children starving in the streets, that's your business. Surely you know the Jews you're now boycotting may call you Nazis. They may even be justified. Compared to the kinds of people you call Nazis on a regular basis, you're probably a lot worse, actually.

Ya that Lawrence synagogue really sucks for bringing in these rabbis who instigate violence.
I've been saying for a while that all American Jewish organizations should cease financial aid to Israel until they agree to exercise control over the Haredim. I'm tired of their look-the-other-way attitude.
Kelsey and others tell me it hasn't been hundreds of years; they've invented a way of life they believe mirrors the past, but is actually a perversion of it. The war really screwed them up, badly; they're suffering. collectively, from post-traumatic stress syndrome - which doesn't excuse their behavior.
I boycott all religious organizations including the Salvation Army. This would not include something like the Jewish Federation but I wonder if they give money to religious groups?
