Jewish Philosopher

The only Internet character more repulsive than Garnel (if this is possible to envision), Jewish Philosopher, is back to his evil, trolling ways. He is harassing a blogger that I have a lot of respect for, The Atheist Rabbi. The Atheist Rabbi is a rabbi for secular humanist Judaism, and judging from my numerous interactions with him in the J-blogosphere, is quite a mensch. Jewish Philosopher has chosen to single him out for especially spiteful treatment, publishing a plethora of personal information about him, including details on his employers (I suppose he hopes to get him fired for his blogging the way he was fired for his own blogging. Only difference is the Atheist Rabbi has not harassed anyone. Further, the rabbi has not even bothered Jewish Philosopher on his own blog - these attacks are entirely undeserved).

Be sure to let Jewish Philosopher know what you think about his bullying. Also, do your part to get Blogger to ban Jewish Philosopher from the blogosphere by reporting him to Blogger. Click "report abuse" on the top left of his blog, and when prompted, report him for hate speech. Maybe if enough people complain, Blogger/Google will actually do something.

  1. Since you can't intelligently, logically refute my arguments you want to silence be. Very Bolshevik of you.

  2. @OTD: JP refuses to recognize the fallacies in his own arguments. He seems to believe that by repeating the same statements incessantly, that it somehow lends them credibility. His history of using obscenity towards posters who refute his arguments as well has his alleged harassment of the family member of a particular blogger who offended him are well documented.

  3. My arguments are actually irrefutable. Try to refute them.

About alleged harassment - where's the police report? The indictment?

Atheists are just a bunch of liars.

    1. Liars? Sir, based on the lifestyle you are living, I'm assuming that you are an expert in lying to yourself.

  4. 1. I'm not an atheist.
    2. I've refuted some of them repeatedly. You just post the same tired statements in response.
    3. You know very well that you posted her personal information on your blog and her mother's as well.
    4. You have yet to show a heter from any significant Rav to justify your internet usage and blogging. Consequently you are in violation of the very same standards you purport to uphold.

  6. I most certainly did refute a number of your posts on other blogs.

On your own blog you self-reference as a means of rebuttal. Using your own arguments to support your statements is evidential of grandiose and delusional thinking.

As is typical , you ignore the statements you can't refute.

You claim in your most recent posting that you never outed a blogger previously. That is a lie. Tova/Righteous Rasha is perfect evidence to that effect.

You have no rabbinical authority to blog or to post.

  9. For two and a half years atheist bloggers have been complaining that I used a four letter word on Tova Schreiber's blog. Who was at that time a 21 year old non orthodox college student who used much worse language.
    my wife was contacted
    my rabbi was contacted
    my employer was contacted
    my local police were contacted
    her local police were contacted
    blogger.com was contacted
    child protection services were contacted
I am still regularly accused falsely of harassment

Talk about a bunch of sick, moronic bullies.

  10. JP did not answer as to how he is permitted to blog.
I also find interested that he is so sure his arguments can never be refuted: "My arguments are actually irrefutable. Try to refute them". Although I am an agnostic-atheist, I would never claim that I can never be wrong. Talk about objectivity.

  11. Who said you can't blog? There are plenty of orthodox websites.

  12. His 'arguments' collapse under the weight of their own insanity before they even make it out of the starting gate. When taken together, they form a heaping pile of excrement that's virtually indistinguishable from the revolting cretin who dropped it.

  13. JP I'm pretty sure all those people were contacted because you wrote past wrote a lot of crazy shit on how to raise kids.

  15. And because of harassing people during work hours.

  16. I've repeatedly asked for the name of another living rabbi who approves of your online activities, including your comments to Tova. You have never provided one, despite living in a town full of Orthodox Jews.

  17. The last time I listed a rabbi's name in my profile, he was inundated with harassing email (this was a few years ago). Live and learn, right?

In any case no orthodox website, magazine or newspaper includes the approbation of a world famous rabbi.

    1. You clearly live in some sick world. Hamodiah, Jewish Press, etc, all hold approvals.

    1. So state your opinions....why bash others?

No need. Unless you do it out of desperation because your opinions are shown to be based on erroneous information!

  19. Atheist and Jewish skeptic websites and books are almost totally negative. All they have to say is how horrible, criminal, etc anyone who believes in God is.

I'm sure they won't mind if I return the favor.

JP has half of a point here. I was guilty of this too, overlooking the humanistic aspects of Orthodoxy while railing against its strictness. Humanistic, communal aspects do exist.

JP seems to be saying that if you are an OTDer who only goes on about ORTHODOX JUDAISM IS EVIIIEEEELLL, then you have minimal standing to complain about JP's bad behavior.

That being said, where JP does not having a point is his propaganda about OTDers. Click here for my debate with JP on the matter.

  21. I think that the most salient FACT to note about JP is that he is a total prick. Whether or not one agrees with his views is irrelevant. The man is just a first class prick. If he truly believed in the concept of Chillul Hashem he would seriously tone down his rhetoric and personal attacks. He seems incapable of doing so which indicates that he completely lacks self control OR he doesn't really believe what he purports to believe. Either way....kinda sad.

    1. Dd u read the letter from atheist rabbi? Pretty calm and level headed.... No personal attacks or harsh language! Not sure what your talking about.

I will say that JP's behavior confirms the complaints of most skeptic otd blogs! How ironic.

I feel bad for his kids....hoefully the escape one day
